Jeff and I have finally decided that we have enough money in savings to start really looking at houses. Everyone keeps telling us that it's the prefect time to buy...it's a buyer's market and all that. I hope they're right. The interest rate continues to drop, but the prices that people are asking are still very high. Hopefully we'll be able to find a nice house and still be able to talk the sellers down a bit. We're not asking for much. We would like to get a three bedroom, two bath, that's in decent shape. We've noticed quite a few listings that are in our price range, so I'm sure we'll be able to find something that we really like in the next couple of weeks.
We are definetly ready to be out on our own again. Living with Rick and Gloria has been really easy, but we are both used to being out on our own. We had so many brand new things that we got after the wedding, and we were only able to use them for 2 months before we put them in storage. It will be like Christmas when we get to unpack everything!
We go look at the first two tomorrow afternoon. I'll take pictures and post them if they are houses that we really like. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
