Welcome To Our Blog

Hello Family and friends! I have decided that Jeff and I are so out of touch with a lot of people in our lives, and there's just no excuse for that. So, here's the solution! I'm not exactly new to the blogging world, I have a MySpace, but I've never had a spot that is just dedicated to my thoughts or the happenings in our little life. So please stop by every now and again so you can see how Jeff and I are doing. Jeff might even jump on here from time to time.

A Slight Bump In The Road

Jeff and I got some upsetting news last week. The mortgage lady told us that we wouldn't be approved for our home loan unless we were able to pay off some stuff that was coming up in our reports. It really didn't seem like a big deal until we tried to contact the people to make a payment. They weren't contacting us, and we were leaving messages every hour. All the while the clock is ticking, and if we had everything paid off, we were sure we wouldn't be able to cover the closing costs. My goodness, what a mess! I was in tears the whole time, but things have a way of working themselves out.

I kept thinking maybe this is a sign....is this not our house? Jeff and I were scrambling to get this taken care of, and thankfully, we were able to contact these people and get it fixed. Now, it's a sit and wait game. The realtors are going to try to extend or escrow to July 1 so we'll have enough money to cover the closing costs. We just hope that everything will work out the way it's supposed to. I've pretty much told myself that if we get the house, it was meant to be, and if we don't, we continue to save money and move on.

**One shining moment in all the stress last week was that I got to hold a brand new baby.**

Welcome to the world Gabriella Delainey! Congratulations Amy, Carlos and family!

one thing to do is pull your credit report and contest the stuff that you can't get taken care of. either it gets ganked off of there or you get to take care of it. just google free credit report. you get one a year

I did end up adding a note to one of my collections I had already paid, but this one came up almost out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure someone was keeping an eye on my report and saw a mortgage company was checking my report, so they decided to report again and drop my score. Ah well, I ended up paying the damn thing off and now our loan officer is going to request a temporary deletion of it so our score will go back up to the magic number. Now I only have one thing left on there, and as soon as we're in the house I'll be taking care of that as well.

Well, I'm glad we could lighten your week a little. Keep your heads up, what should be...will be. Even if it's not on our timeline.
